About Edna
Edna DeVries is a name you can trust! For decades, she has served and volunteered in our community, and fought to protect the rights of everyone who calls Palmer home. As Mat-Su Borough Mayor, you can expect she will bring our valley together with that same care, diligence, and authority that her community has come to rely on.
Edna knows how to get things done. She has served on the Palmer Council and was chairman of the Planning and Zoning Committee. She is a former member and vice chair of the Alaska Commission of Aging, and former member and chairman of the Human Rights Commission. She also has 29 years of business experience, including real estate broker, 3 Christian Book Stores, and Pizza Restaurant. Along with her husband Noel, she also ministers to women who have been abused, works with homeless people in their ministry, and runs a School of Government class for the public. Her accomplishments include roles as the Mayor of Palmer and the Alaska Job Corps Center Accounting Instructor. She is a leader in her church. She is a former state senator, Assembly member, and Mat-Su Borough Mayor.
Simply put, Edna can be trusted to lead the Borough, our families, and businesses in our time of need.
