KeepinG MAT-SU Borough safe is one of my highest priorities.
We’re excited that the Mat-Su is growing, but with growth comes public safety responsibility.
I will work closely with the Governor and the Department of Public Safety that all of our allocated State Trooper positions are filled. In my opinion public safety is one of the basic governmental functions.
I have supported the Palmer Police Department and Wasilla Police Department fully. Edna was instrumental in getting more Resource Officers in our public schools - thanks to Wasilla and Palmer councils for working with me. I will encourage and support neighborhood watch programs throughout the Borough and public school resource officers in our schools.
